My experience is consistent with that reviewer. I compared with my friend's WM1A directly and couldn't tell a difference. I don't want to ruin your guys' fun though.

Why would he be insecure about the matter when he's owned the Z1R and VX for quite some time and knows how they compare?

I don't have trouble fitting the IER-Z1R and it doesn't give me any discomfort or pain. I can keep them in all day. That being said, the Anole VX is much more comfortable due to it's shape and weight

I have both the IER-Z1R and VX and I prefer the VX between the two in everything except for bass. IER-Z1R bass has a really nice texture that the VX can't compete in IMO.

Why can't you look for the song in your DX90 library and choose it that way?

I agree with everybody else about Lurker's 2.1.5 L2 with dualboot. I flashed it and its a noticeable improvement over 2.1.5 L1

You will be replacing the drivers in either of them with the Magnum Drivers. I suggest getting some wood cups and placing the drivers there and using a Sony headband or the Auvio headband. That way, you don't have to "waste" a Grado driver if you bought a Grado headphone

Yes, it lasts around 4-5 hours I believe. Also, if you update to FW 2.1, the sensitivity is decreased. If the screen is still too sensitive, I don't think there is anything you can do other than wait for a future update (if they even change the screen sensitivity) or use RockBox
