    Grado Fan Club!

I think I started to enjoy the sr325i, the more I listen to it the more I like and I'm not sure if it's because of the break in or it's just me getting used to the sound signature. Anyway when I put on the sr80 I find hard to see the difference that justifies the price tag, perhaps, it's my...

    Grado Fan Club!

^ Why did you give up on the 325i?   I have a 80i and really like it. Got a new 325i and it's just too bright, after a 48 hours break in it got much better (and I don't think it's a "placebo effect") but it's still fatiguing in some cases. Unfortunatly I couldn't try the PS500 is it warmer...

Same here, bought the sr325 after owning an sr80 for one year, I just wanted some improvement, but it's annoyingly bright and I'm not using it at all just the sr80. I will try the break in with it than give a second chance to this headphone before I find someone that likes it and sell the stuff...

Quote:   turned up there yesterday, actually to buy the the sr325 but I wanted to test some other headphones in the same price range just to make sure, tryed the B&W P5 and what a frustration in terms of sound  althought really confortable. Very helpful they were yes.   Also went to...

    post your grado mods....

The sr80i opened without the need of heating or any other process (brute force) and a cheap sink strainer look...sound leaking as never before!

    Winamp:

Been using winamp since 97, tryed foobar because of this thread, good choice but not of my taste having to deal with folders only to get a decent interface ;). Anyway good ligthweight player, will explore more of this in the future with a DAC.

Good London Based Store To Listen to some Headphones?

Quote:     They now have a website, not many headpones on the site though.   Talking about price, it was about 10 pounds difference from amazon uk.

    Closed Grado

Thank you all, especially to dgiles, the P5 looks like a very nice headphone (read some reviews out there on the Internet). I do believe there might be a connection between design and sound quality in there. It also comes in hand considering the place I'm planning to buy the headphones.  ...

    Closed Grado

I've got a Grado sr80i. I like it a lot but in places like public spaces it's kind of not possible to use because of it's open design. So, I'm just thinking of buying a closed headphone, in the same price range or a little above and same sound quality. No need for noise cancelation. One thing I...

Good London Based Store To Listen to some Headphones?

shasonic at tottenham court road used to have a lot of grados, sennheisers and boses last year, most of them kind of overused but you can have an idea of the sound.   although the store doesnt seem to have a good reputation the girl there was quite helpful, got a grado sr80 there and a nice...

    Grado SR325

Also thinking of getting 325, got the sr80 3 months ago and this makes a real difference in music in a way that i can't listen to music without the headphones as before. The trouble is it's not sold in my country and importing is a pain that makes it 3 times the price...so looks like Ill have to...

    Headphone shop in central London

thanks, that was a priceless advice. In the end I didn't take the time to look for more shops as I just had one morning left in London at that point. There were other shops between tottenham station and this shop that might be worth taking a look for better prices (not sure).

    Headphone shop in central London

I went to this shop today thanks to this post, they really have several headphones, as far as I can remember there were boses, sennheisers, grados and then sony. Each brand has 6 (8?) models (may be more if you don't bother asking). They now have good sound outputs with songs that range from...
