New JH Audio flagship! "Siren Series Roxanne"

Well mine are on their way back to me after a refit. Sue just emailed my FedEx tracking number to my audiologist NS Audiology (Which you should consider if you live in Sydney because they are great) so I'm guessing roughly a two week delivery timetable. I cant wait to get these puppies back, the...

New JH Audio flagship! "Siren Series Roxanne"

Thanks for the tip, and sorry for opening the can of cable worms, i didn't realise how hotly contested the issue is out there in the wild internet (a few googled articles and a tour through the attached comments section showed me the error of my ways ;)  ) . i have heard a lot of people talking...

New JH Audio flagship! "Siren Series Roxanne"

Well even though i am still waiting for my Roxie's to come back from JH after a refit, i have still been hovering about this thread like a vulture ready to pounce on news or opinions that give me a better idea of how to best enjoy these bad boys once i get them back, in terms of amps and so...

New JH Audio flagship! "Siren Series Roxanne"

I had the same thing with my order. i ordered the 64" black cable and i received the 42" clear cable. although it too had the aluminium collar, they must just not have enough of the aluminium collared cables of other lengths and colours in yet.

New JH Audio flagship! "Siren Series Roxanne"

Well after a brief visit my Roxanne's are on their way back to JH for a refit, fingers crossed it's a quick turnaround time. I want to say a massive thank you to John Lucchese and his team at NS Audiology Sydney, they have always had time to speak to me and answer my emails, in fact when i sent...

New JH Audio flagship! "Siren Series Roxanne"

well at those super high frequencies the volume had dropped off quite significantly, but I'm not sure how much of that was due to my ears limitation and how much was due to the IEM's. I'm probably not the best one to ask because i dont have what you would call calibrated ears, ie i am new to...

New JH Audio flagship! "Siren Series Roxanne"

well i can confirm that the audible frequency of the roxanne's goes up to at least 18,531 Hz, i suspect it goes higher because i tuned it to 18,811 Hz where i could just no longer hear it and left the tab forgetting it was on. after a few minutes i was experiencing a weird feeling of...

New JH Audio flagship! "Siren Series Roxanne"

I am definitely going to weigh in on bearFNF's side on this one. whenever someone describes a real world problem as a matter of "simple physics" it always calls to mind the old physicist joke with the punchline "lets first assume we have spherical chickens in a vacuum." what i mean by that is...

New JH Audio flagship! "Siren Series Roxanne"

Thanks to Jedaite headwhacker doki81 robm321 For replying, and for the advice. I followed the instructions you posted and I am reasonably sure that i am inserting them correctly, as there is no physical way of getting them any deeper inside my ear without causing physical pain. The sound i...

New JH Audio flagship! "Siren Series Roxanne"

So i picked up the Roxannes today, they look great and feel really sturdy. the box is really nice too. I am wondering about the fit though, i haven't owned a CIEM before, so i am not sure what exactly to expect. For example coming from comply foam tip westones, i was surprised at how little...

New JH Audio flagship! "Siren Series Roxanne"

Today was a great day! I got a phone call from my audiologist in Sydney, my custom acrylic Roxanne's have finally arrived! To be honest I was starting to lose a little faith that they would ever make it to me after reading some of the comments in the last 10 or so pages of this thread...

Could noise canceling headphones cause hearing damage?

Ears differ from eyes in that they cannot react to input. Your ears don't have the capability to react to the sounds you are hearing because there are no muscles or anything capable of doing it. They literally just convert the sounds that exist into a signal that your brain can interpret. You...

Could noise canceling headphones cause hearing damage?

first and for-most, as others have stated, active noise cancelling headphones are designed to protect your hearing. however i will disagree with what some have said about hearing damage being caused by excessively high frequency.   sound is a wave as you all know, it differs from radio...

Monster Turbine Pro Copper VS Atomic Floyd Superdarts?   Hi All. i am in the market as it were for a new pair of IEM's. i was delighted when i saw this forum because it introduced me to IEM's and brands that i did not even know existed before. however i am now spoiled for choice and i...
