If you claim to be a huge power user why the heck are you on windows instead of flavors of linux? /confused

In my opinion speakers and headphones are equal. They both have their pro's and con's which make them both different and both enjoyable. One does not have to be better considering that you can have both and both are designed for different purposes.

Yeah I am just getting my apache out and I should have the protector this week so I will be able to pretty accurately compare them. Though from what I have spoken to Craig about supposedly it compares pretty favorably for the jh-13's :P

I would recommend something like a d10 > rx unit since the d10 has a amazing dac and the rx can drive full size cans better then any portable amp I have heard to date. As for a single unit I don't know of any unit that I am particularly happy with but maybe a pico or a d10

I just got a email back from Ray so I should be all set to buy the protector. I am interested to see if Ray or someone else will release a portable balanced dac in the near future for a real nice portable balanced computer rig

I owned a fully balanced b22 + apache and all I am going to say is if you don't have any top end full sizers it isn't worth it just for the 13's the gain you get is extremely diminished returns.

I have had a p-51 in the past. I think I may end up with the protector but I am going to have to have my current twag cable re-terminated for it. I wonder how the k702's would sound balanced off the protector.
