I thought it works very well without an amp. Bass is not as good but the treble is more smooth. My setup tends to exaggerate the harshness in the treble. 

I have one as well, collecting dust here because of fit. What eartips do you guys use ?

I have been following the thread for awhile now. The fact that it is a hybrid and can be worn hanging straight down really attract my attention. I want this so badly.

Has anyone tried swapping 1r with other earpads?

My rocoo-P crashes whenever i insert a sd card into it. I have updated to the latest version. I still encounter the same problem. it can be played smoothly if connected to a charger, once disconnected, it just crashed. Any help?
