Disaster - in one of those moments which seemed to go in slow motion I got my foot round the cord and pulled them off the stand onto the floor I presume the the silver wires need rejoining but where does the other wire with the black sleeve go ?- hawkhead

Well gues what I spent the evening doing: I used the new pliers (and the rubber band for protection) to undo the hanger screws on the new headband Old screw came undo but the other would not budge so I just sacrificed it with another pair of pliers on the other end Doing up the new screws...- hawkhead

I have just received an "Open box" EF400 The volume knob is very stiff to move off from zero and then feels rough and make a grinding sound (though it works fine otherwise) I assume this is not normal?- hawkhead

Ok the headband has arrived - it looks rubbish compared to the original, the finish on the yokes (which OK I wasn't planning on using) and the chrome is appaling, the headband material is horrible as well Now I am trying to undo this screw on the new yokes - when i turn the blade it just...- hawkhead

Well I just thought an update would be useful in case anyone in the UK/EU needs a headband I ordered the original HE6 headband from Hifiman US (online) and had it shipped to a forwarder in the US who have already shipped to me. An open box EF400 may have got in there as well!. They put values...- hawkhead

So my search for a replacment headband in the UK is not going too well Analogue seduction have no stock of the Hifiman Comfort I can find an Audze headband but not the yokes - look at the shipping cost to get them from Audeze:- hawkhead
