Disaster - in one of those moments which seemed to go in slow motion I got my foot round the cord and pulled them off the stand onto the floor I presume the the silver wires need rejoining but where does the other wire with the black sleeve go ?

I have just received an "Open box" EF400 The volume knob is very stiff to move off from zero and then feels rough and make a grinding sound (though it works fine otherwise) I assume this is not normal?

Well I just thought an update would be useful in case anyone in the UK/EU needs a headband I ordered the original HE6 headband from Hifiman US (online) and had it shipped to a forwarder in the US who have already shipped to me. An open box EF400 may have got in there as well!. They put values...

So my search for a replacment headband in the UK is not going too well Analogue seduction have no stock of the Hifiman Comfort I can find an Audze headband but not the yokes - look at the shipping cost to get them from Audeze:

Took my original HE6 (which I still love) off the stand and the "Hanger" (is that the correct term ?) snapped Any sources for these (apart from Hifiman) ?
