so sorry to hear you got a bad battery in your unit! Iuse mine  2-5 hrs & I've used it dozens of times, never Failed.

My ATH-M50s sounds great with the sansa clip or the DX5, with or without the E 11K

I know the update took effect because everytime I turn the dx off it has a new screen asking to you want to turn the player off that is new. I try the up lock button to get to the settings but only get the unit turning on with the screen saying locked! I unlock it & the player is ready to play...

Installed the SU & following directions on the read me file , restarted & deleted the img file, now trying to get to the settings. not sure whether the lock unlock slider will allow me into settings, or is it the volume control that needs to be held in on startup?

Also held the volume up switch down & it started with a blue screen for boot/ update reset items? as far a adjustments or settings , I have not seen that Yet? Thanks for trying.
