For sale is an excellent pair of HE-500s. Most of the guys on the forums know the old Hifiman stock is excellent with a crisp, impactful, detailed, and organic sound. I am the original owner and have taken well care of these headphones for many years. I've done very little modding to these, only...- GLXLR

Is Accutech/STAX USA closed?
I've had bad luck with them in the past, but I have not done anything with them recently. Can anyone shed light to this question?- GLXLR

Stax SR-L300 Impressions Thread
My worry is that the headband does not seem to want to extend too far out and the clamp is not super light either. Does adding the thick ZMF pads make a strong clamp? Also these headphones are pretty awesome. After a few days of listening I've adjusted to the sound. Still don't really hear...- GLXLR

Stax SR-L300 Impressions Thread
I'd be surprised if your ears don't touch. The bigger problem is just that the pads are way too thin. Glasses are a definite no go with these pads as well... Does the 507 pads or L500 pads have the same problem with glasses?- GLXLR

Stax SR-L300 Impressions Thread
I just got a pair running on a Stax SRS 323S. My initial impressions are they are good, but not insane. I am honestly not hearing the "electrostat" sound. So far seems comparable to my Hifiman HE-500 in terms of quality. However, I am pretty impressed by the treble response. Mid range is...- GLXLR

Best Headphone for Classical Music
I don't necessarily think soundstage is the biggest indicator for a great classical music listening experience. It definitely helps though. I've owned the HD600 and can say that the Q701 has the balance for classical recordings. Where the warmth of the HD600 trumphs the Q701/k701 in vocal...- GLXLR

= Hifiman “Fuzzor” Mod = (Driver backwave felt damping modification)
And use a thin double sided tape with it? Seems like it could work but definitely more of a hassle than the original fuzzor. What are your initial impressions?- GLXLR

So where can you buy some of this material? All of the stuff I have found online doesn't seem appropriate in quantity for a project like this..- GLXLR

Is there a link to melamine that you could use for the fuzzor mod? All my google searches show stuff you would use for a room.- GLXLR
