I think I am doing something wrong but am finding the M6 is sounding "flatter" than my M3K. Any pointers please.

Is the Sony worth the extra over the M6? Also, is the quoted 45 hour battery life "anywhere near" the actual battery life if listening to none mp3. Thank you.
