    Sony has new headphones, MDR-1R

I see some people aren't quite satisfied with the sound of the 1R's.   The cheapest price for the 1R's right now, here in Sweden, is $300. I paid about $400 for the BT version, and that was on a 10% discount, lol.   It's not the cheapest headphone on the market, but as far as I known...

Quote:   This.   If 100 people buy a certain product, perhaps 10 of them will experience problems. Most of these people will describe their frustration on the internet, much like in head-fi. However, the ones who are enjoying the product won't waiste their time expressing their...

    Sony has new headphones, MDR-1R

Quote:   No worries :D I feel you, my first pair broke after an hour. When playing music through bluetooth only the right speaker gave out any noise. I was so busy the next couple of weeks I actually had to use the wire when listening to music :( On the good side though, the new pair I...

Quote:   If you explain what you mean with "navigation rocker" I'll try and help :p   Edit: After some thinking, I'm now pretty sure that you mean the "previous song/play/pause/next song" rocker :P Anyway, I've shaken my head with the headphones on to the point where I have a major...

    Sony has new headphones, MDR-1R

I just wanna add that I just got my DT250 velour pads and put 'em on my MDR-1RBT and wow. Just wow. They just got so much comfortable. Also I feel that the bass is more "boomy" in a way, not by alot, but it's something that I really appreciate.   If you don't mind spending the extra bux for...

I did manage to get a pair of dt250 velour pads, but as you mentioned before they have no cover for the speaker. Did you find this irritating or does it still work well?

Quote:   This would work with certain kind of macbook models, as the 3.5mm jack on them are "merged" in a way. So the headphone and mic jack is actually the same one.  For a "normal" pc with two different jacks I'm pretty sure you'd need an adapter.

Quote:   Been using the 7506 ear pads on the 1RBT and comfort wise they're alot better. The pads are stiffer, so my problem with the OEM-pads (ears touching the speaker) are now fixed. Isolation is a tad bit lower, still great isolation though. Leakage is a little bit worse, definitely...

Just noticed that B&H's shipping fee to Sweden is $50 and amazon won't even ship them to Sweden. Is there any other way to get a hold of them? Appreciate the help alot.

Alright, thanks. Which one do you recommend of those two? Also I'd really like to know if the isolation and leakage is the same.

Okay, I got a big problem here guys.   So I've been using my MDR-1RBT now for a couple of hours, using bluetooth through my Galaxy Note. I'm about to take a walk with the dog, and as soon as I leave the house, the left speaker just mutes out of nowhere. It just goes mute for no reason. Now...

It's pretty safe too say that you'll like the wired version if you like the BT version. The BT version sounds pretty much identical with a wire or bluetooth.

Where did you get them? I can't seem to find any. Thanks for he tip btw, the current ear pads are really not so comfortable on my ears, which is sad because I'm truly in love with the sound. Also, is the isolation/leakage the same with the velour pads?

Great to hear. I'm gonna order the bluetooth version this week, can't wait to get it. One question though, is there anyway to order just the ear pads? I love the velour pads on my dt770 and would love to have it on these aswell.

What is the general thought of the BT version of the 1R?   I'm currently looking for an upgrade from the DT770 pro 80 ohm. Well maybe not an upgrade, but I'm looking for a more "overall" headphone that I can use at home for hours and then also take out on the go.   Is the BT version...
