I have the quad core upgraded 777... Was looking at the full upgrade however I need to put funds into other things for the time being. Having said that the 777 was a pretty substantial purchase for me and I was happy with the original version.. My taste is towards DAC's that have tubes in...- gavtorn

The FitEar CIEM Impressions Thread
Hi I realise it's not portable (not sure if you want portable or desktop) but the Violectric v200 works very nicely with IEM's especially on low gain mode. Paired with a nice DAC it's amazing. For portable use maybe check the Geek Out 100 designed for IEM's. Are you able to tell me...- gavtorn

Hi, Can anyone please help me confirm the wait time on a pair of 334 customs? Jaben in Melbourne told me 2 months - however it seems that people are waiting up to half a year for their orders to be completed! thanks, gav.- gavtorn

Hello ifi, I already have the quad core board installed - will I be able to get the rest of the upgrades installed for a cost or do I need to purchase a new DAC? Cheers, gav.- gavtorn

Yep works fine for me as well - the USB input on the 777 is based around the XMOS chip, which is well tested on core mode. I think I had to load the GUI to install the USB driver and then remove the GUI and then it was fine..- gavtorn

DNA Stratus 2A3 amplifier - first impressions
The upgrade came to a fair bit more than I expected given the cost of shipping and a bad paypal conversion rate. So I'm hoping it's a worthwhile upgrade too :) Will let you know how it goes.- gavtorn

DNA Stratus 2A3 amplifier - first impressions
I used both - Initially just tried using RCA cables with cheap adapters to see if I liked the sound, and then I had Trevor at Norn Audio make up a cable to run straight from the XLR output of the AMR DAC to the input of the LCD-3's.- gavtorn

DNA Stratus 2A3 amplifier - first impressions
Hi Froger, Thanks for your impressions :) I have just sent my 3's back to Audeze for the Fazor upgrade. It will be interesting to see how they pair with the AMR now. I have a cable for the 3's that has a 4 pin balanced plug and a connector for SE, for me there was only a very slight...- gavtorn

Thanks for your impressions - I didn't like the ican when I tried it, but it was v1, so maybe the latest version is better. I run the LCD-3's straight from the balanced output of the DP-777, using the internal volume control. Sounds amazing, :)- gavtorn
