I've had my Venus II 12th for about 3 weeks and love it! It is much less fatiguing yet detailed and more realistic than any chip-based DAC I have owned, including FPGA devices. I was very curious to hear an R-2R DAC, and I'm so glad I took the plunge! I use it with a Roon Nucleus Plus.

I received mine yesterday--sounds fantastic and remembers settings, unlike my previous non-signature model! I'm using the tube output, GTO filter, and DSD512 remastering. Do you folks use the balanced or unbalanced outs? I'm currently using the unbalanced.

How hard is it to change the tubes in the ProDSD Signature when the time comes? One reviewer said it was nearly impossible and one would need to return it to iFi. If true, that sounds like a terrible design. I'm hoping that reviewer is a complete idiot! I did find a video that shows how to open...

Hmm...for some reason I can't change my profile picture to the Stellias. I deleted the Sennheisers and uploaded a new image, which shows during the editing process, but the old image still comes up.

I recently received a gently used pair and love them! Incredible transparency and details, plus they are very comfortable. I would have balked at paying $3,000, but $1780 made them more appealing! The stock cable is rather microphonic, but only if I rub the Y' splitter, which I don't tend to do...

If I leave it on 24/7, about how long will the tubes last? (I had the standard iFi DSD Pro a while back, and it didn't remember the filter and other settings when I turned it off. Has that issue been solved? If so, then there's no need to leave it on all the time.)
