    D2000 Burn In Time?

I find the soundstage really opens up after 4 days of burning in, about 50 to 60 hrs. And after 200hrs, i find it hasn't changed anymore

    Denon D2000 or D5000?

I would personally get the D2000 and recable it with a D5000 stock cable, then spend rest of the money on the amp. The D2000 with D5000 cable is quite close to D5000, woodie does change the sound a little (neither good or bad, just a matter of taste). But if you have applied the markl-mod...

    Recable/Woody D2000 or Step up to D5000/D7000?

Review: JVC DX700 vs Denon D5000

Just a little intro about me, i am a big Denon fan! I like the bass and the comfort of the Denon. And i listen to classical for most of the time. Today i received my DX700 that i bought from Townyj. I have been listening to it for few hours. Source: WMA lossless -> Cambridge Dacmagic ->...

Which full size Sennheiser for movies unamped?

I find it either go for hd555 unamp or jump to hd600 w/ amp. Not worth investing on hd595, because it is only a slight improvement over 555 and doesn't benefit as much as 600 w/ an amp. My 2 pennies.

    Something similar to ATH-W1000?

    Something similar to ATH-W1000?

I recently bought a few cans for comparison, one of them is the Audio Technica W1000. My girlfriend immediately fell in love with it, but she finds the headphone is a little too heavy for her and she doesn't like the woody. And now i told her i will buy her something similar to the w1000...

The Grado SR 225i Or Senn 595 (based on my usage and music preferances)

Actually i wouldn't compare HD595 with 225i They are different signature sound to me.

The Grado SR 225i Or Senn 595 (based on my usage and music preferances)

I should use the word 'boomy' instead, if that helps But 225i may sound bass-less if you are a basshead

Would going Sennheiser 595 --> 650 make sense?

Totally agree with others Hd650 is simply better than Hd595, more accurate and detail. Just a little dark to my ears. Denon d2000 is quite similar, with a more bloated bass. Slightly more forward than Hd595. Just as warm but the soundstage isn't as good. markl mod with a recable makes the...

The Grado SR 225i Or Senn 595 (based on my usage and music preferances)

I have compared the 2 cans side by side with the same source and music, i find the bass on HD595 is bloated compare to 225i, which sounds a little muff to me and not as transparent. 225i has a more forward sound and HD595 is a little more relaxing, warm and slightly layback. I would think...

Just spent 2hrs with K701 - what are you guys on?

I think is a matter of taste in the end. I bring my Denon d5000 and Sennheiser hd650 with me when i visit my Stax-fan uncle, he finds both of my cans are too boomy; whereas i find his Omega isn't warm enough and slightly lack bass. Personally i had k701, it was in a love-hate situation, love...
