Can someone give me some insight on the longevity of the ear pads? The old model had ones that basically petrified after a months worse of use. Is this the case with this newer model?

How do these compare to their wireless brother in terms of sound?

I just bought a pair few days ago. Went with the BT version and they sound better than what I remember. Very punchy tight bass, with amazing clarity through Bluetooth. In fact, I feel that they sound better wireless. If only they weren't so damn huge they'd be perfect for walking around campus...

Does anyone know how these compare to their silver, wired counterpart? I'm making a decision whether to try these out again or not.

THe  I'm positive the headset if just fine.   Where as to me they sound less detailed, they certainly upgraded the build quality. I can only wonder how long the alcontara (Think I spelled that right?) Where as the QC 15's padding is known to flake off if you have fairly greasy hair.

Sound is fairly decent this far. Not sure if it improves after some breaking in as my ears get more used to them. As of now they sound identical to my soundtrue pair.

Bought a pair and returned them three days later. Bass was a bit muddy and it lost its bassy charm rather fast. Sticking with my bose headphones for now
