Show us your Head-Fi station at it's current state. No old pictures please...

Looks nice. Is that a Liquid Spark amp?

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

I'll be keeping an eye out for some reviews on these, I'd love to be able to use my Brainwavz B400s part of a tws solution.

    Close back headphone suggestion needed

I have the HD569 which I've heard is very similar to the 598CS. While I prefer my HD6XX, my home office where I do most of my headphone listening is next to our family room and if my wife has the TV on there I need a little isolation which the 569s offer. They sound very good straight out of a...

What Are You Listening To Right Now?

In Portland on business for a few days. Got lazy and only brought my Pixel II XL and Shure SE 215s since I'll be working some long days. Woke up at about 4:30, got ready and took a little walk and hit a Starbucks at 5:00 to get caffeinated. This morning's listen has been Andy Sheppard's...

FiiO X5 2nd gen Impressions and Discussion thread

I never knew that existed! That's great though...I normally use folder view and have my music organized by Genre\Album Artist\Album\ so I can pretty quickly find what I'm looking for without too much scrolling. But sometimes I want to go a little more random and find an album I haven't listened...

FiiO X5 2nd gen Impressions and Discussion thread

I would get occasional clicks or micro-gaps using FLAC files. I changed to using Apple Lossless on my X5-II and have never had an issue since.

FiiO X5 2nd gen Impressions and Discussion thread

Yup. If I'm going to be in and out of the car I'll sometimes use my phone just for the ease of bluetooth connection. But for 90% of my portable listening it's the X5ii. With two 128gb cards in it I've got enough music in FLAC format that I can always find something "just right" to listen to at...

    FiiO X5 iTunes Sync

Media Monkey (free version) works well syncing with my X1, I'm sure it would work with the X5. And it supports a wide variety of file types.

The FiiO X1 Discussion and Help and Support Thread |192K/24B|100mW | LO | inline remote

FWIW I sync from a PC to the X1 using the free version of Media Monkey which allows me to define the folder hierarchy to be used on the device. It's slower syncing via USB but to me it's worth it for that kind of control. Usually when I'm syncing I'm swapping out 10 CDs worth of music max so...

The FiiO X1 Discussion and Help and Support Thread |192K/24B|100mW | LO | inline remote

I use a folder structure of Genre/Album Artist/Album. This works well for me as I'll usually have an idea what kind of music I feel like listening to and I won't have a ton of artists in any one category.

    X1 doesn't recognize albums

The X1 library has a 5800 track limit. The files are available in folder view, but the library will stop adding tracks once it reaches 5800.   I use FLAC files so I won't ever reach that limit, but I don't use the library anyway. I don't do shuffle, I'm a full album at a time listener. What...

    Introducing Trinity Audio Engineering

Bob - I was going to return mine to Amazon (see the pictures upthread) unless you would prefer to handle it as a warranty issue. Really doesn't matter to me. Please reply and let me know.

    Introducing Trinity Audio Engineering

No, I never pull them out by the cable. I've got IEMs that I've used on and off for three or four years. I'm willing to accept that I got a bum pair, it happens. Maybe when I was swapping tips I gripped them oddly or something. They're packed up and ready to go back to Amazon tomorrow.

    Introducing Trinity Audio Engineering

I see someone else jumped in and mentioned seeing them on Amazon as well. They were definitely sold as new and definitely sold by Trinity Audio Engineering.   Here's two shots - the close-up is blurry but you can see the bare wire.       It's a shame, I *love* the sound of these.
