We had a couple of the early meets at my house, and I do recall you being there. Those were the good old days. Enjoy retirement...and stop by and say hello on the boards once in a while. I suspect your retirement stories will rival your industry stories. :)

It was Tyll and his passion for this hobby that set me down this road to madness. His world of headphones tours and support of local meets made it possible for so many of us to be exposed to really great gear. I can recall at least four times when he made it to one of our meets, more often...

Please count me in for a fall meet. I too have a tight schedule on weekends because of soccer and UM football, but it's been too long since I've been to one of these.

Just a thought: perhaps he could send a follow-up email apologizing for sending the first one? Not much surprises me any more. That one knocked me for a loop.

BTW - judging from what I keep seeing about the Wave, with prototype boards and such, it appears that they might be following through on that at some point. Either that, or it's a particularly sick joke.

Wow...just wow. I'd say that's pretty remarkable. I'm lucky that all I had to deal with was late delivery. Lack of shame is apparently a useful thing sometimes.

I need something that can take a toslink signal (which will be output from its source at 24/96) and permit it to be captured via a USB interface of some sort (also at 24/96) by my PC. There is no DAC required per se, as I’m not interested is analog output at this point. What I’m looking for is...

Looking for toslink INPUT, from a digital source, to my PC via USB. I’m also looking for something that can handle a 24/96 signal from that same toslink input. BTW - Your assertion about no audible difference above 16/44 is perhaps best discussed in the sound science forum.
