  It seems to me that it doesn't matter, I live in Italy and it's being shipped from Hong Kong... I guess they just ship it from whichever warehouse has it in stock.   PS: is this a one-man business? (???)

They sound great with hip-hop and dubstep.   I got my Forza cables today:       The end result:     The headphones are now how I wanted them to be, with velour pads and better cables. At 60€ shipped I'm sure these are not the cheapest, but I'm satisfied

Got my velour pads today!     I remember some users have reported that bass improves, but to me though the bass isn't any different.

I placed an order for the Headstage Arrow 4N. I can't wait!   Question: I will mainly be using this portable amp with my Dell laptop. I am also checking out various portable USB DACs, such as [1], but will such a small DAC bring a significant improvement in SQ over the laptop?  ...

Personally I just got used to it and I think it's the same for most people. But HiFiMan acknowledged the inconvenience and the new models are lighter!

Yeah I had already ordered an upgraded cable before I even noticed the stock one was splitting. It was clear to me from day 1 that it's shabby, and that sooner or later I'd be buying something else.. so I just pulled the trigger ASAP. I'll be using Forza Audioworks cables, they should arrive soon ;)

Would you say that it can sound just as loud as a desktop amp? I never owned a headphone amp (portable or not) and knowing that my laptop puts out a really weak signal I just want to be sure I won't have this issue with it, because I was unable to find out what is its maximum output power at 32Ohms.

Wow, $300... that's the absolute best value for a hi-fi headphone! This has been said many times of course, but major respect to HiFiMan for producing an affordable magneplanar headphone. I'm loving my HE-400 more and more each day :)

Heh, I know I can't realistically expect it to push many watts, to be more specific I want to know if it puts out at least 1W at 32Ohms.

Has anyone tried the Headstage Arrow amps with the HE-400? Came across this product by chance and I'm intrigued by it. I was unable to find out what the maximum output power is so I'm not sure if it can drive orthos with enough energy..
