I mostly listen to AudioBooks , Jazz .. Classical.   My price range would be under 250.00   I had my eye on the AKG Q460's but I kind of have a big head and the reviews say they may be a little tight.

I got some Sony MDR-1R's late November and started to have an issue where the cable connects started to rattle. In another forum I saw a fix for this issue but for the price ... I refused to "fix it myself".   It has been over 30 days but Amazon agreed to give me a refund.   So here I am ...

I have a pair of Sony MDR-1R's ..    And it seems like the piece where the cord connects to the headphone is a little loose. It is connected all of the way and the headphones work fine .. but due the the small amount of give every once in a while when I am using them I hear the plug moving...

Reading on .... but is it the noise cancellation that is bothering me?   I have some loud people at work .. LOL  Hopefully non noise cancelling cans will still block them out. 

The Sony's look nice. Good reviews on Amazon.    They dont have them at best buy maybe I can find some where else for a demo.   Oh reading the reviews someone mentioned that some headphones make them feel like they are in a submarine.  I think that is what I am feeling with these bose.

When I even lightly tap the side the whole headphone feels hollow. Maybe hpllow is not the best way to describe it. How about sunk in feeling or feeling like I am in a tunnel ?   I am open to open-ended headphones .. LOL     Thanks Ricardo   

Sorry for the delay .. I subscribed to this thread.   I would like to stay around 200 .. max 300.   No ear buds .. cant stand things in my ear.    Not really pick as far as on the ear or over the ear. As long as they feel good. It took me some time to get the bose feeling right but now...
