deleted: I was going to say that yes, has filter, but fits perfectly. However, having seen the above post, I realized that they don't go completely down all the way, which wouldn't bother me, till I realized that means that the opening of the capsules is pushed against (and thus covered in...

Yes, I switched to medium olives after getting tired of fragility of the *slightly* more comfortable Comply's. Comply needs to use a slightly tougher skin over their foam! Anyway, I only noticed the Olive's being a little firmer at first. Got used to them pretty quickly.

QUOTE="kpro, post: 14254733, member: 443367"]Definitely added to my short list. Are the Dragonflys any good for on the go? I love the Dragonfly Red with my ER4SRs.(using OnePlus5 phone and USB Audio Player Plus for bitperfect flac>Dragonfly). BTW, if you go this route, this $4 little hard case...

Another vote for the Shures. They are a little stiffer than the super soft Complys, but I can wear for hours. Shame that the Complys are so fragile (they just need a more resilient skin over their foam), but I got tired of replacing them so often. Anyway, my ears could never handle ANY of the...

Carefully cut thin red electric tape. Sure wish Ety would do something about this R/L thing. Like you said, also (and most importantly) able to differentiate at in the dark. For those who use the tri-flanges: push the largest flange backwards (towards the front) and use red and blue (or green!)...

Shure Olives fit as well, and while a little firmer than Complys (so perhaps not as comfy to some), they last Way Longer. I've always felt the tip offerings are a weak point. I know some people are fine with the tri-flanges, and their quality is good. But the foam tips and those hard gray...

"I don't think it's going to make most folks sell their ER4SR/XRs but I think it's cool in it's own right and hope folks dig it. I'm assuming we'll all know soon enough." Yeah, they better not be better, I just bought mine!! :)

    1) like to keep them packed in my bag, 2) would need a long extension for my room, 3) almost too noise-reducing for the house. Just ordered the AKG K550 mkIII's. I'll have in 2 days, so let y'all know. THANKS EVERYONE FOR YOUR TIME AND SUGGESTIONS!

Thanks everyone. I think I'm going to try to new AKG K550 mkIII. $200 direct from AKG w/ free shipping. I like that it uses the same removable neutrik cable as my k712s, as I have an upgraded cable already.

LOOKING FOR ADVICE! I'm a very happy ER4SR user (wow.. they just released new midrange ER3's!), and you all know how great it is to hear music without any outside noise! My home phones, AKG 712 Pro's are also faves of mine (I use my Peachtree Nova 150's HPA), but they're Extremely open phones...
