  The A700 doesn't have a 6.3mm plug, it has a 3.55mm plug. I used the adapter that came with the R70X and put it on the A700. The A700 sound fine when not plugged into the amp. Not a big deal, maybe it just doesn't like the amp.

Wouldn't different pads change how the headphones sound? Why would you want to do that?
