it’d be interesting to see the effects of a usb-otg wifi adapter on wi-fi performance and sound inteference. curiosity aside, HiBy will probably respond with a reason or solution.

For wi-fi, you can use an app such as Wifi Sweetspots and/or run a speedtest and compare different devices at the same spot. Using a single app such as Tidal will not single out the problem between the device, device firmware/software, or the app compatibility.

Im new to Tidal, but for offline playback, do you need an active subscription? Or will they downgrade the quality etc?

Im sure at least some of you read about speculation that Spotify will come out with their own hardware soon (car streamer etc.). It makes total sense if they would avoid letting a great device such as the R3 dip into that. Unless this streamer comes with data, there are many other choices.

Has anyone tried any balanced cables that cost less than the actual iems? Anything below this price range seems like a downgrade...

Since you mentioned this, have you considered trying this with a balanced cable? The CB12 cost almost as much as the IT01 themselves...
