My V5 arrived at thesoundfreq hotdesk today! Thanks Alo Audio for the swift distribution of pre-orders. Initial impressions... Build Quality is up there with the best in the market. It sounds like a winner too! Just a few tracks tested with the HD650, source is a Macbook with Audirvana to...

CAMPFIRE AUDIO Australia - New Zealand Tour (Reviews and Impressions) ORION / LYRA / JUPITER / ANDROMEDA

Yes they both share the same mold. Only difference is the number of bores on the nozzles. They fit my ears well considering I have small-average sized ears.

NOBLE Savant Thread (Impressions, Reviews, Tours)

I have auditioned both black and red dragonflies with the Savant. I find that both devices add a bit of flavour to the sound compared to a straight pairing with iPod touch 5th Gen and iPhone 6s. Slightly more warmth, punchier bass, and better treble extension. Hello everyone! it's good to be back...   Apologies for my absence. There was a personal concern that took me from the headfi hobby and reviews. Even my website thesoundfreq.com was temporarily unattended. Everything is gradually coming back to normal. I'd like to thank fellow headfiers who...

Campfire Audio - Introducing 2 new models Hello Andromeda and Nova

This is from memory of the Lyra so it may not be as accurate as real time comparison. Expect the Andromeda to have faster, tighter, and more articulate bass. More contrast between bass drums and bass guitar. Andromeda mids sounds fuller because it's more balanced with the lows whereas the...
