Quote: I was talking about the HFI-2400s from DJDeals.com, not the Beyers from amazon lol.  I guess I should have left that part out of the quote to avoid the confusion.

Quote: Yea, I would really like to get a pair but if I don't like them, they don't seem to sell too well on the for sale forums and the return policy is 20% restocking fee.  Maybe I could do better on ebay or another forum.

Amazon has some Refurbished Denon AH-D2000s for $229 + $5.59 shipping.  Seeing as these are hard to come by at the moment, its not a bad deal.  It's an authorized Denon dealer as well.   http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B000MVEC0Q/ref=dp_olp_refurbished?ie=UTF8&condition=refurbished

    over ear headphones recommendations needed

I personally thing if you want headphones to be portable, go for some on the ear headphones or some IEMs.

[Upcoming] FiiO E02i "Rocky" and E12

Quote: Yea that would be a huge bonus.  Even though I have an extra battery for my E11, it would be even better if I could just plug it into my laptop while traveling.

    Shure SRH840 vs. Audio-Technica ATH-M50?

The problem with the M50s is that the bass is bloated and it downs out the mids and the highs are not that great either.  The SRH840s would be the much better all around listeners choice.  If you mostly listened to Rap, R&B, and dubstep then I would say the M50s would probably be the better...

Quote: They are the most open sounding closed headphones I've tried so far.  I might just pick up the 2400s and check them out, thanks.

[Upcoming] FiiO E02i "Rocky" and E12

Hopefully they can at least get rid of the hissing that the E11 has and keep it under $150.  Any word on the target price range for it?

Beyerdynamic DT770 PRO vs Audio Technica ATH M50 vs Ultrasone PRO 750 vs Ultrasone Hfi 780's

Quote: The FiiO E11 and the CMOYbb would be the best options for portable amps under $60.

Quote: If you call a sales rep and J&R some will lower the price for you to $215 if you ask them.  Electronics expo also puts them up for sale for around $215-$230 but both sites have them on back order and will be for a while.  A used pair can be had for about $200 if you can find them.

    over ear headphones recommendations needed

Quote: I wouldnt go as far as saying they are pure basshead cans.  That would be more like the HFI-580; the 550s have less bass and a larger sound stage.  They would be your best option at $150 but if you can squeeze out $200 then the other options are better.     I would personally get...

Beyerdynamic DT770 PRO vs Audio Technica ATH M50 vs Ultrasone PRO 750 vs Ultrasone Hfi 780's

Audio Technica M50s- They have great mid and low bass but it really downs out the rest of the sound.  I personally did not like them and I am a bass head.  The Ultrasone HFI-580s are the same price and have very similar bass (very similar) but much better highs an mids are better.  Not to...
