Whatever you do, make sure you set an alarm on your phone/ipod, otherwise you WILL NOT hear any outside noise(alarm, etc).

Yea the 600s are another alternative, many prefer them to the 650s. But I would honestly look in the FS section, because you can get some KILLER deals on them in there. Most are used, but I've never had an issue buying used stuff from here, 99% of the members are honest folks.

I don't have a data plan on my Pearl(not my main work phone), and I can use the browser w/ wifi, use the Gmail app, and the Yahoo app as well. All you have to do is set it to Wifi has precedence over the Network while doing anything email/internet related.

HD600 are a little more forward, they aren't SUPER bright, but they are for sure forward of the normal Sennheiser sound, although not as far forward as the 595s are.

Yea there would be no way to control volume. The way I do it is via my laptop(MBP). I take RCA out of the 360, into the laptop, and out via my headphones or my amp. Get an app called LineIn, it will allow you to do that.
