Old JVC RX-401 Receiver
Quote: I've tried it with my Beyerdynamic DT880s 600 Ohm, but I get some crackling. The jack is a bit loose, unfortunately. If I jiggle it around, the crackling gets worse. The headphone jack is plenty loud though. On 25%, it's already feeling pretty loud on the dt880, so plenty... -
Old JVC RX-401 Receiver
Hey guys, not sure where to put this, so I put it in here. If this is the wrong place, please let me know! Anyways, I found an old JVC RX-401 receiver in my house. I don't know too much about it, but I do know that it was purchased in the second half of the 80s. Perhaps '87 or '88. I tried...- chronostorm

Sennheiser HD 280 Pro cable issues

5.1 Computer Speakers
I used to have 5.1 speakers. However, I settled with a 2.0 system ever since I went to college. However, a good 2 piece or 3 piece set sounds better than a 5.1 system of similar pricing, I found (at least for music). For movies and games though, having the extra speakers is fun- chronostorm

Help me reduce fan noise
JW do you have a list of the components in your computer? If you're on stock cooling for your cpu and gpu, exchanging those for aftermarket ones allows you to run your fans at a lower speed, reducing noise. There's almost no way that your computer needs 8 fans to keep from overheating...- chronostorm
