does anyone know how to strip open a tf10?

just find the gap where they seal it and carefully use an exacto knife to cut the glue seal and pry it open. no I have not done this before on tf10 but on other iems when I was bored and wanted to recable them.

Help me choose another "earphone" to replace my ailing Westone UM2's

I recently went to tf10's from um2, and I say I am enjoying the tf10's a little better as they are more of a "fun" sound.

Moisture on the memory wire: Meelec M6

If I remember correctly from my chemistry class, that memory wire would be acting as the sacrificial anode. Meaning that it is rusting and not something else, e.g. the drivers. So I'd say you're fine.

Monster turbine gold fake or real?

A real easy way to tell imo, is comparing the slits on the end of the iem. The real ones run deeper and becomes really obvious when you pay attention to the difference to the fake ones.

Need a place to resolder a jack...in New Zealand

Do they have dick smith or jaycar there? I'd reckon you'd be able to get a 3.5mm jack from there, or you could ebay one.

Need a place to resolder a jack...in New Zealand

If you're not confident in soldering yourself, see if any of your friends know how to solder. Anyone with a little experience in soldering will be able to help you, assuming you have a jack ready to be soldered to. Or you could always just buy a soldering iron and do it yourself, not hard at all.

Ultimate Ears Triple Fi 10 Thread

Judging by how much it costs for something to bypass the ipod dac, not worth it.
