Still looking for the right cans... what I've tried thus far.

good sound card or high end cd player...what is better for music listening?
Here's a vote for good sound card, because that's all I have experience with. I recently ditched my Audigy 2 for a HT Omega Claro+, which I run to my PIMETA and out to my DT880. The only time I get the slightest hint of noise is when I crank both the sound card and the amp to max volume, and...- BruteFM

How much do YOU think Koss KSC75s are worth?!
They're great for $20. I wouldn't pay any more, though. The PortaPro is better at $40.- BruteFM

Sennheiser PX-100/200
Time to be the voice of dissent. I've never head the PX-200, so I won't say anything about it. I did own the PX-100, and the best I can say is I liked it. It wasn't anything special, but it was a solid phone for a cheap price and I liked that it folded up small into the case. They...- BruteFM

Most comfortable headphones (for a large head) (don't care about sound) for $150-200
Beyerdynamic DT880 is my favorite so far, though it may be a little tough to find it for $200. The DT770 is slightly less comfortable, but can be had for $200. I'll second the mention for Audio-Technica. I had an A900 for a brief period and it was extremely comfortable. The only reason I give...- BruteFM

Denon D2000 vs Senheiser HD25-1 II vs Audio Technica A900

Denon D2000 vs Senheiser HD25-1 II vs Audio Technica A900
I've owned two of these three (A900 and HD25), and I'd take a beyerdynamic DT770 over either one of them. I can't speak for the Denon because I've never heard one before. Also, as a word of warning: if you wear glasses, take the HD25 off your list. You will likely learn a new meaning of pain...- BruteFM

JVC HAR-X700 and 900. Two of the best dynamics? Am I nuts?
I would buy some, but people keep comparing them to the A900, a headphone I very severely disliked. :\- BruteFM

Closed Headphone shootout.. which should I buy?
I thought my HD25-1 travelled well. The biggest problem is I wear glasses and that's a big no-no with those phones. I found them horribly uncomfortable.- BruteFM
