    SONY WM-D6 power problem

Hey all...   technical question here.    I have a SONY Walkman (WM-D6) that does not power up at all. I've heard it is probably going to need a DC-DC coverter part that is no longer available from Sony...   I have another walkman, the WM-F1 from the early 80's. Is the DC-DC coverter...

    Nakamichi 600 deck owners...

I have this vintage cassette deck and had it serviced recently (belts, bias, azmuth) to TDK-SA cassettes The frequency response test came in at 43Hz - 18,500Hz and the owners manual on this deck shows a frequency response from 40Hz - 18,000Hz... Since this deck cannot achieve the high...

    Grado SR80 mods??

I've seen the mod's for cutting holes in the earpads for more treble. I also thought I read somewhere on google that you could get more treble by cutting a quarter sized hole in the screen mesh (clear-white in color) that covers the holes on the speaker front grill. Any thoughts??

    Bellari VP130 or TC-760LC??

I'm looking into these 2 Phono Preamps. Both are available around $100... I have a Grado Red Cartridge > Soundcraftsmen EQ preamp > Soundcraftsmen Power Amp. Which of these would be a better upgrade to improve the sound quality when listening to vinyl? of coarse, one is tube and the...

    Opinions on new cans, please

I'm amazed at the sound of my Grado SR-80's i got on Ebay for $60. I've also heard the SR-125's and found the 80's to be the better bang for buck.. If you really want a good bang for buck, get the Koss KTX Pro's (not the folding kind) for under $20 on Ebay. I still use these for when at the...

I have a Numark TT1650 turntable I bought for $150. I replaced the cartridge with a Grado Red. It sounds great so far in my Soundcraftsmen Preamp EQ, but do higher priced turntables make that much of a difference in sound quality if you have a good cartridge on them? How much difference do...
