Woops, thanks . Hmm maybe it is a seal issue, I use the foamies but have yet to order replacements yet. I wash them but they are probably in need of replacing.

It seems the base has totally dropped off, not sure if there is a problem with the base driver on the phones or whats happening. Songs with alot of base like tracks from Thom Yorke's Eraser really seem to sound not good at all, the base sounds really hollow and high and I'm sure they never used...

Sorry for changing the subject a little but I've been debating on getting either the SR 71 or the Hornet to go with the E500's and possibly to toy around with occaisonally with a set of K701's. Any idea on which to go with?

What are the differences between these two amps? Also which one do you think might work better with a 5th gen ipod and either e500's or UE 10's?
