Schiit Fulla 2 Impressions Thread
Just received my unit today after using my old udac-2 for ages. After getting my HE-400i's and trying them on my brother's chord mojo really highlated how badly the udac's distorted sound, specifically in the mids where there was a weird bump with loss of detail like all the mids were being...- blufox4900

Looking to step up my portable game with some mid-fi IEMs
Huh that's a relief, I've usually been turned off by anything that has bass in their title. I like bass as much as anyone but not to the point of sacrificing mids and highs- blufox4900

Looking to step up my portable game with some mid-fi IEMs
That's the real key for me, I kinda want to hit a sweet spot but also I want IEMs that I can be happy with for a while. Just thinking about settling for the GR07s and calling it a day so I can focus more on building up a lossless library to justify the more higher end stuff.- blufox4900

Looking to step up my portable game with some mid-fi IEMs
Closest thing to a meetup I've been to would be my brother but he went end game and spent $1000+ on custom IEMs which of course since they're customs means I can't try em out at all, I just get to hear him talk about it all the time. Outside of that I hadn't been to any of the local meetups yet...- blufox4900

Or would I be better off with something like the gr07 until I build up a sizeable FLAC library to justify the higher end equipment?- blufox4900

Looking to step up my portable game with some mid-fi IEMs
Would it be wiser for me to get an external DAC? I currently don't have a lot in the way of lossless flac files yet- blufox4900

Looking to step up my portable game with some mid-fi IEMs
To be honest I kinda want to experiment with something neutral for the time being (though not ER4 neutral). Did looked at the ATH-IM02 for a bit though I wasn't sure if there was anything better at the $300ish mark or if it'd be worth it since my primary source is my nexus 5x and spotify premium.- blufox4900

Looking to step up my portable game with some mid-fi IEMs
Alright then, for me it's kinda hard to translate all of it as my only experience thus far is with my grados and my pistons. Just not sure of which direction I should take and what kind of sound I should expect going from $20 iems to $300 ones- blufox4900

The JVC FX850 and the Westone UM pro 30 catch my eye, how would you say the soundstage is on those in comparison to the UE900s?- blufox4900

Looking to step up my portable game with some mid-fi IEMs
So I'm getting a paycheck with absolutely zero bills to worry about and I want to get a solid pair of IEMs considering my last ones, the pistons 2.0, took a swim in the washing machine. I'm settling on a budget of anywhere from $100 to $400 max though I am curious as what I get with spending...- blufox4900

The Xiaomi Pistons Thread 2.0
Alright, bought the pistons off of amazon from Robert's Superstore and can pretty much confirm that they're legit as well. Right off the bat these things sound really fun though the bass isn't so overpowering and mids not so recessed so I guess fun but more balanced than others. Hadn't spent...- blufox4900

The NIKON Thread (Talk About Nikon Stuff here)
You don't have a speedlight? You could pretty easily set up a macro studio with a speedlight, a cardboard box, paper and tape. Models are nice but not convenient, least in my experience at school where they backed out with alarming regularity.- blufox4900
