Tube Magic D1 buzzing?
Recently, I purchased a Tube Magic D1. After I first received it everything was well, but now it has started to develop a buzzing noise in the left channel. The buzzing noise seems to grow louder the longer the Tube Magic is on. Additionally, the buzzing noise gets quieter if I turn on the...- bloosnail11

Purple hippos? Pink platypuses? Need new IEMs NOW
Hello, I was thinking of buying a new pair of IEMs. I want ones that are around the $100 range and are well balanced. I want them to have a big sound stage and pretty good isolation. Clear highs aren't really a necessity, because I heard that they can fatigue. I want ones with good mids and...- bloosnail11

M-Audio: AV40 or BX5a?
I'm using a JVC FS-SD5. I don't think it has a pre-amp out nor a line-out, so I won't be able to change the volume with the receiver? That is, only the Sansa will be able to control the volume? Sorry about all the questions, I'm just not really understanding this. -
M-Audio: AV40 or BX5a?
So you're saying that the BX5a's volume control will override the Sansa Clip+'s/receiver's? The A5 are, from where I've looked, a good $100 more so I would rather go with the BX5a. Currently, my plan is: Sansa Clip+>Receiver>3.5mm output to TRS>BX5a >RCA... -
M-Audio: AV40 or BX5a?
Oh, well I'm using a Sansa Clip+ as the source, so will the BX5a still be able to be driven? Also, how would I go about connecting the subwoofer if I didn't use a receiver? -
M-Audio: AV40 or BX5a?
Ok, so I know that the BX5A would be miles ahead of the AV40 on a well powered source, but my receiver only has 28W output per channel. Currently, I'm using a pair of Sony SS-B1000. They are rated at 120W Peak Power, so 60W RMS power (I think). It's a little quiet but that doesn't matter since...- bloosnail11

Will a uDAC work with a Sansa Clip+?
Dang it, ok. Are there any cheap DAPs that the uDAC will work with? Cheap as in like, $100 or less.- bloosnail11

Will a uDAC work with a Sansa Clip+?
Ok, I don't know if my question is completely ridiculous but I was reading a thread about how the uDAC can be used with a iPad. Since the Sansa Clip+ does have mini USB slot, it should be able to work with a uDAC, right? At least I hope so. Currently, I'm using a Sansa Express>Receiver>Speakers...- bloosnail11

Slightly Confused About AKG K701 Amping?
I think I'm just gonna buy the Tube Magic now and add on an M-Stage in like, 6 months/a year when I have more money.- bloosnail11

Slightly Confused About AKG K701 Amping?
IIRC the RCA on the uDAC are line in, so no volume modulation, I think. And the Tube Magic has optical but my sound card doesn't, so if I used an adapter I would still be getting optical quality, correct? Sorry, I'm somewhat of a cable noob.- bloosnail11

Slightly Confused About AKG K701 Amping?
How about using the uDAC as a source and using the M-Stage for the amp? Basically what I'm asking is: how does the uDAC's DAC compare to the Tube Magic D1's DAC? Also, I have the uDAC connected by USB right now and I was wondering how I would connect it using the line in.- bloosnail11

Slightly Confused About AKG K701 Amping?
Currently, I am using a uDAC-1 with AKG K701s. Personally, I think it sounds very good but after reading on here it seems that I am nowhere near using the K701s to their potential. This makes me sad. As of now, I'm stuck between two choices for the next step: 1. Selling uDAC and buying...- bloosnail11
