DIY: Emotiva mini-X a-100 Headphone Amp Mod Guide
Couldn't tell on this one, never read about anyone swapping caps on this amp. Those are certainly nice caps and of better quality, but whether or not the juice is worth the squeeze is anyone's guess at this point. I have my doubts one would be able to tell a difference, but if you do go through...- ben_r_

Schiit Gadget - A "Magic Box"
Couldn't even figure out what forum to post this in as I'm not sure what the heck it even is. Just thought it sounded a bit ridiculous: LINK and the video is here on Facebook: LINK A New Class of Audio Control: Dynamic Re-Tuning of Concert Pitch October 6, 2017, Denver, CO. Today at RMAF...- ben_r_

Sony MDR-XB950BT Bluetooth headphones
Yep, I owned both for a bit. Just sold the MDRXB950BT and still have the QC35. IMO the QC35's are in a whole different world. Better in every single way. They offer more features, feel way better on my head, are lighter in weight, sound infinitely better and looks better too. BUT they cost A...- ben_r_

Bose QC35 Wireless Noise-Cancelling Headphones
Same here. I can walk really far from my phone and they stay connected perfectly. I think of all the Bluetooth headphones I tried these sound the nicest and the ANC works by far the best, but I didnt buy them to be my main, high quality headphones. I just got them to wear at work.- ben_r_

Sony MDR-XB950BT Bluetooth headphones
After having these for a couple months I have to say, once EQ'd they are much more bearable, but today I just picked up a pair of Bose QC35's and wow what a difference in every single aspect. So Ill be selling my Sony MDR-XB950BT's. Not much need for them IMO after upgrading.- ben_r_

Bose QC35 Wireless Noise-Cancelling Headphones
Just got a pair of QC35s and they came with 1.0.6. Just upgraded to 1.3.2 and LOVE the ability to disable the ANC. Very cool. also OTA update was like 27 minutes so I canceled it and it took under 5 doing it via USB. Still feeling the "cabin pressure" feeling from the ANC however. Gonna try and...- ben_r_

DIY: Emotiva mini-X a-100 Headphone Amp Mod Guide
Each of my headphones have their own complimentary amps and I never use them with anything but. However I have tried the Denon AH-D5000's on the mini-X. It was a while ago so I cant remember the specifics, but I do recall I didnt think it was great but certainly listenable.- ben_r_

DIY: Emotiva mini-X a-100 Headphone Amp Mod Guide
I have read of others claiming that the 220 ohm resistors were too high and never could understand that. With a BiFrost Uber as a DAC feeding the mini-X and the 220 ohm resistors I can barely turn the volume past 30% before its way too loud to listen to on my HE-500's. I had originally tried...- ben_r_
