Reply to review by 'Bas82' on item 'Haylou Purfree Buds OW01 QCC3040 IP55 Open-Ear Sports Buds'
Don't know if you've actually tested it in outdoor activities, but while biking the buds are not able to manage wind noise at all, to the point that the other party just hears ambient noise unless you're yelling. Could you double test outdoors, particularly on a bicycle? I do not cycle too fast...- Bas82

Review: Philips SHE-3590
It's not such a good idea. The cable is more expensive than the headphones and it will be overkill. Besides, construction is as sealed as possible as in a discard product, so you will have a hard time prying them apárt without breaking them. I would buy a new pair, and reinforce tension points...- Bas82

MEEaudio X7 Plus Review by mark2410
Oh sq it's really really good. Not "good for a bt headphone", but really really good on their own. I have a bunch of other headphones which are supposed to be much better and are actually much worse. By the way, take care of them, it's easy to lose them (i'm telling you because I lost my pair...- Bas82

MEEaudio X7 Plus Review by mark2410
I've never heard of such an issue. In my case, paired with my Lumia 735, I usually use them with the phone at max and the headphone at 2-4 points less from max volume. Never had any issue with max attainable volume, in fact, with phone and headphone both at max volume, the headphones are way too...- Bas82

MEEaudio X7 Plus Review by mark2410
Soundwise I'd say that the signature is similar to the SE215, with a little more bass, a little more treble, and perhaps not as detailed. At lower volumes, I find that the MeeAudio X7 is more enjoyable than the SE215. To feel the bass in the SE215 I have to crank up volume more than with the X7...- Bas82

MEEaudio X7 Plus Review by mark2410
Yeah, but I prefer to wear it below my chin. Just as when you wear a new watch the wrist quickly gets used to it, the cable below the chin becomes invisible to me after some minutes, and eliminate cable micrphonics and issues when answering a call.- Bas82

MEEaudio X7 Plus Review by mark2410
I would also like him to ellaborate. I have to say that I agree with most of what has been said about sound quality here. These are good sounding IEMs, period, and not good sounding for a bluetooth IEM. I do agree that they have a V shaped response, but they are very musical and the timbre is...- Bas82

Review: Philips SHE-3590
Well, I've been using the 3590 for quite some time now, and I thought that I'd make some comments, not because my sound eval is better or significantly different than others, but because I think that although they are somewhat v-shaped in sound signature, this signature is not so strongly marked...- Bas82

Review by 'Bas82' on item 'Philips SHS3200/37 Flexible Earhook Earbuds (Black)'
Audio quality My experience is very different from the other review for this earbuds. The reviewer says that these headphones have no bass at all, and I notice a very good amount of bass, not too extended but with very good impact probably due to the bass port. However, to feel some...- Bas82

Review by 'Bas82' on item 'Panasonic RP-DJS400-W DJ Street Model Headphones (White)'
Preliminary words As english is not my mother tongue, please pardon me for grammatical mistakes (I shouldn't have so many spelling mistakes, but... who knows ). Introduction I bought this as a result of a search to replace my JVC HAS160. This are in a different league, but...- Bas82

I finally feel like a real Head-Fi'er!
I can just make an echo: welcome to this hobby. You'll spend a lot (believe me), but the rewards is awesome when you progressively discover that the word music acquires a very different meaning through time, experience, and hours of listening. Cheers & best regards. Bas.- Bas82

Panasonic RP-HX50 Slimz review
Shigzeo, thanks for your words. I agree with you on the numbering issue, but well, I changed it while I added the pictures. They are the ones I was able to find on the net when I was seeking some info on the net, not of my own pair of headphones. I'll see if I can take a picture of mines later...- Bas82

Panasonic RP-HX50 Slimz review
Thanks for your thoughts pi3guy. I initially thought about the '.' vs ',' when I wrote the numbers, but I thought that it was difficult to confuse (let's agree, two zeros do not make for any other number). I'll change it and add some pictures. Thanks again! Regards.- Bas82

Panasonic RP-HX50 Slimz review
Well, here it is my review of the Panasonic RP-HX50 Slimz. As I didn't found too much info about these on internet, I decided to write a review after a two weeks of use. I'm going to split the review into four sections: presentation of the product, hardware characteristics and comfort notes...- Bas82

Crossfeed filter basics and amp
Rick, that was a great answer! I made three filters: the two I described in the first post, and the one you described, with the 1:10 values. You are right that they won't work without an amp. At least from my PCDP, the signal is indeed very attenuated. I usually hear in my house at 20% of...- Bas82
