Replacement Driver for Denon D7000 / how to fix driver?
I just got a pair of D7000 used from my brother, but I'm finding the left driver buzzes on the low notes. I have taken the driver from the cup, head piece and it still buzzes, so I don't think there is a dampening problem. Is it possible to get a replacement driver? How much would that...- backbaychef

Headroom BUDA/UDAC vs Violectric V181/V800
I currently have the BUDA/UDAC now but am looking for other options. Has anyone heard both of these? I am reading good things about the Violectric V181/V800. I am listening balanced with HD800, LA7000, and will be picking up a pair of LCD-2s.- backbaychef

Springs For Connectors
I have a pair of LA7000's and I want to re-terminate them with xlr's. The cable currently has heat shrink and a spring as well as a single 1/4" connector. I have the other parts, but am not sure where to get some nice springs like this one. Any ideas? Thanks, bbc- backbaychef

BDA vs. BUDA
I'm not sure about the phase splitter part. But perhaps if I share my experience with the BUDA/UDAC. I have had the total bithead for about 7 years, with HD650s. I finally got to the point where I would upgrade and got the BUDA/UDAC and the balanced cards cable. The HD650s never sounded...- backbaychef

LCD-2's as noisy as Open Ear Cans?
That's what I was afraid of. I listed to the HD800s and my coworkers nearly killed me because of the noise - and they were terrible with hiphop. I have the Denon D7000, and am considering getting a pair of smeggs's thunderpants. I just don't know if they could compete with the LCD-2s. Thanks...- backbaychef

How to Rewire Denon D7000 with Cardas Balanced?
Am I crazy for thinking of doing this. I just got the BUDA and UDAC, and the cardas cable that works with the Senn HD650s. I like the D7000 much more and would like to make that balanced. Should I just send it in or use the cardas balanced cable that the Senn's have? Has anyone done...- backbaychef

Amp/Dac recommendation/questions?
I have been hearing a lot about "balanced" stuff, and am considering going to the next step. I have a pair of HD650s, and just purchased a pair of Denon D7000. Here are my questions. Is it possible to upgrade my Denon's to some XLR/balanced cables? What more needs to happen for them to...- backbaychef

How long do UE-10s last
Last night I experimented with just wrapping wax earplugs around my super fi. 5 pros. It seams to work great, gives me a great seal, and the sound is good enough for traveling with my ipod I think - though they sound better with a portable amp. If I like them next week like this I think I'll...- backbaychef

Wav earplugs wrapped around my Super fi. 5 pro
Images... well these things aint pretty, at least the part that goes into my ears. Also these have been dropped onto the floor and everywhere else so there is threads etc through the wax - yeah I need more. Anyway, the wax is called "Mack's pillow soft earplugs" Here's a link of where you...- backbaychef

Wav earplugs wrapped around my Super fi. 5 pro
Okay, I am trying to tide myself til the E500's come out and I can get a custom earpiece to attach. Last night I went nuts with the stock attachments that come with the Super fi 5 pros. I took my wax earplus and fit them around the stem and shaped them to my ear. Wow, total isolation, custom...- backbaychef
