Replacing my UM-1's
Do the "olives" fit snugly onto the UM-1, or would I have to mod them? Also, I'm still interested in trying something new, so my other previous questions still stand.- b-dizzle

Replacing my UM-1's
Hey Head-fi- I have to admit, I'm not really an active user here. However, every time I've wanted to get a new pair of phones or wanted to get a recommendation for a friend, I've turned to you guys and you've never steered me wrong. Last time I did this, I ended up with a pair of...- b-dizzle

Help me pick an entry level IEM
Sorry to resurrect this thread, but as my PX100s just died , I'm looking at the more 100-170 range now, and the new Super.fi 5s as well as the UM1s are tempting me... I know the UM1s are the kings of comfort, durability, and mids- can the Super.fis compete with them in these categories? What are...- b-dizzle

New and Improved Ultimate Ears Super.Fi 5 v2.0 - Huge Sound in a Tiny Package.
Question about the Comply tips that come with the SF5s- about how long do Comply tips usually last you guys? Can you wash them like the Shure black olives? Also, how isolating are these things- could I mow the lawn with SF5s instead of earplugs?- b-dizzle

Good IEM's for gaming?
Etymotic actually just created a line of gaming IEMs under the brand E.D.G.E Acoustics- the only ones they're selling right now (the GX400s) are $180, but they have some GX100s coming down the pipe that will be cheaper. No idea if these are good, but they're Etymotic so the sound is probably...- b-dizzle

Help me pick an entry level IEM
OK I think I'm between the iM716s and the UE Super.fi 3s. A few questions on the you guys might have answers to- are the iM716s well built/durable? What types of tips outside the ones provided by the manufacturer fit on the UEs and what types on the iM716s? Can you use Ety filters with the...- b-dizzle

Help me pick an entry level IEM
Hey guys, I'm looking for a new pair of IEMs for somewhere between $50-100. Here are the specifics on what I'm looking for:Good isolation- for travel Clean/clear sound with bass that is punchy but not thumpy or overpowering. I listen to a lot of alt/indie rock/electronica and like piano and...- b-dizzle

Relatively cheap IEMs for the holidays...
Looking at Amazon, the ATH-CK7s are more expesive than both the Supers and the Etys... I think I'm leaning towards the Super.Fis. A couple questions... for super.fi 3 studio users, have you tried wearing them in the "modified" position (Ultimate Ears - super.fi MOD)- just wondering, this looks...- b-dizzle

Relatively cheap IEMs for the holidays...
Hmm, that's strange, because everything I've read says that the ER6is have less bass than the supers. Anyway, while the reviews of the v-modas I've read have been good, they all cite the fact that their isolation is far worse than a normal IEM because they have a little vent hole to improve the...- b-dizzle

Relatively cheap IEMs for the holidays...
Those Yuins aren't in-ear... so that kinda puts them out of the picture. But the Mylars look good, and the J-Jays look OK... I guess what I need most is comparisons... i.e how do the ER6is sound different than the UE s.f3s? How do they fit differently? Any other things that set them apart...- b-dizzle

Relatively cheap IEMs for the holidays...
Hey everybody, the holidays are coming quick, and my old Sony Fontopia buds are starting to look a little long in the tooth. Last time I posted here you convinced me to pick up some Senn PX100s- which I LOVE- but now I need some IEMs, as my open PX100s don't isolate much at all when I travel...- b-dizzle

Relatively cheap set of new cans...
Nevermind, the 414 mod I read about was for the old version of the PX100, which supposedly sounded kinda dark. The new ones are brighter from what I can tell.- b-dizzle
