First non-IEMs for Glasses Wearer
I wear Ray-Ban Clubmasters so the arms aren't too thick and they're not metal. If it helps with recommendations, I tried out my dad's Bose Quiet Comfort 15s (they're over ear) and they were extremely comfortable - I couldn't feel them pressing on my glasses at all. However, the sound was far too...- audiophile-ish

First non-IEMs for Glasses Wearer
So I've been an IEM guy for several years now and I wanted to explore the over-ear/on-ear side more. However, I tried my sister's AKG K181DJs and found them to be very uncomfortable with my glasses. I'm at my computer pretty much all day, glasses on and music playing so I'm looking for something...- audiophile-ish

Headphones as a Christmas present
Quote: I'm not trying to second guess you or what not but I compared the specs of those to the 181s and the 181s seems to be better. The 181s have 120 dB/V, 5Hz to 30,000Hz, 42 ohms, and 3500 mW while the JVS have 106 dB/V, 8Hz to 25000Hz, 32 ohms, 1000 mW. Or are these numbers meaningless?- audiophile-ish

Headphones as a Christmas present
I don't think it's imperative. She listens to most of her music at school in the library and in her room. She uses buds for working out. Edit: I don't know if they're any good but I saw a couple people recommending headphones from AKG. I found two on Amazon - the K618 DJ and the K181 DJ...- audiophile-ish

Headphones as a Christmas present
I want to get my sister a pair of headphones for Christmas. In conversation she's said she prefers over-ears to in-ears but being more of an IEM guy myself, I'm not sure what's good and what isn't when it comes to headphones. We agreed on a $100 limit with our gifts but it's okay if it goes...- audiophile-ish

Weird Problem with Shure SE215s
Actually, I just solved it lol. The problem is with my computer. I just plugged the new cables into my iPad and both had equal outputs. I'm really confused by this because my computer doesn't do this with any of my other headphones. Weird.- audiophile-ish

Weird Problem with Shure SE215s
Yeah, I have another question lol. I just got some new cables for my 215s because the volume from the right cable decreased dramatically out of nowhere. I thought it was the cable and not the earphone itself because when I switched the cables around the left earphone became much quieter. So I...- audiophile-ish

Non-Shure Replacement Cables?
I've had a pair of 215s for about three months now and I'm on my second pair of replacement cables already. About a month ago, my first set had a problem with the right cable (it was the cable, not the bud itself) cutting out so I got a new cables. Just now I started listening to some music and...- audiophile-ish

Buds that won't crap out in 3 months?
I'm not sure I know what you're talking about. I'm talking about thess: That little hump is where it reaches the back of my ear and it won't bend to make a loop so it just shoots out backward.- audiophile-ish

Monster turbine opinions?
I've had Turbines, Klipsh S4s, and Shure SE215s and the Turbines were by far my favorite. I'd go with them if I was you.- audiophile-ish

Buds that won't crap out in 3 months?
Well I'm returning the SE215s. The sound is great but the fit is absolutely terrible. The "flexible" plastic tubing that covers the part of the wire directly connected to the buds are way too thick to be molded in any comfortable way. They jut out like 2 inches from behind my ear, making them...- audiophile-ish

Buds that won't crap out in 3 months?
I read that it was just the earlier models that had the problem. I bit the bullet and bought them but I got them from amazon so I can always return them without a hassle if I have a problem.- audiophile-ish

Buds that won't crap out in 3 months?
Okay, thanks. I just have one concern. Coming from Beats (before my S4s), I've heard the SE215s may not feel very bass-y. Will they have more bass than the S4s? The S4s, for me, are just on the losing side of having enough bass so even if the difference is slight, I think I';; be happy. I'm a...- audiophile-ish
