Mad Lust Envy's Headphone Gaming Guide: (8/18/2022: iFi GO Blu Review Added)

Thank you for the info! I like my F1's, great comfort, but wanted to try something different as well. Had a pair of AD 700's already, but comfort/fit was issue for me. I'm gonna try out some Akg q701's and see how it goes.

Mad Lust Envy's Headphone Gaming Guide: (8/18/2022: iFi GO Blu Review Added)

Wow, it must be really cold in Pittsburgh for that reply. To clarify, I use the DH decoder in the Sony and plug in the Sony MDR-F1's into the base unit instead of using the wireless headphones that come with it. I also have a mixamp 2013 version. I am wondering if anyone knows if the mixamp and...

Didn't get a reply so I'll ask another way.....currently use sony f1's for gaming, are akgq701's better for sound whoring? Also, does the Sony DH decoder http://wireless-headphones-review.toptenreviews.com/pioneer-se-dir800c-review.html here do the exact same thing as the mixamp?

Gaming question about my Sony MDR F1's

Update: Just wanted to let everyone know that the Modmic solution works great. I bought a 2.5mm male to 3.5mm female adapter at Radio Shack that plugs into my XBOX 360 controller to the modmic and then mounted the modmic on my Sony MDR F1's. It's pretty neat, comes on and off with a small...

Gaming question about my Sony MDR F1's

My Xbox goes optical into my receiver and then receiver optical to pioneer Dolby base unit, It's like a mix amp I guess, and then a 3.5mm plug out to my F1's which gives me Dolby through the headphones. Then I have to plug the mic from a separate headset into the Xbox controller. This works now...

Gaming question about my Sony MDR F1's

Quote:   Update: I went ahead and bought the modmic, should arrive today.   I found a headset that came with my Xbox that plugs into my controller, and then I selected "voice through headset and speakers" in the xbox menu. So, I've been playing with my Sony F1's on and then...

Gaming question about my Sony MDR F1's

Quote: Ok this modmic deal sounds interesting, but the jack on the controller is 2.5. Is there a converter that can go from 3.5mm to 2.5mm?   I REALLY like my Sony headphones, most comfortable I've ever had, so was hoping to just add a mic to them.

Gaming question about my Sony MDR F1's

Quote:     Ok, guys, just for clarity for me here. I am using this for XBOX Live, so you are saying instead of plugging this microphone into the XBOX controller, I would just run a wire into the USB port on the back of the XBOX if I went with a desktop microphone and this would give me...

Gaming question about my Sony MDR F1's

Ok, guys been a long while since I've been on here, but came here wanting a recommendation on headphones for gaming and movies. Narrowed it down and then bought the Sony MDR F1's from a member on here. Well they are fantastic, love the comfort and sound, but I've finally got hi speed wifi in the...
