I have a pair of Genelec 8331s. For someone so small it's surprising that they can dig so deep--flat to about 38hz in-room, and very punchy. I don't even feel like needing to pair them with a subwoofer.

It looks like the drop version doesn't include the Balanced cable either. So this is basically a brighter sounding 800S with blue trim and missing some accessories.

  There's a huge difference on my 300ohm HD800S. On my 25-40ohm headphones which I have honestly there's no difference between AM1 and any of the other modules. You simply don't need that kind of power on low impedance stuff.

  Most likely around 3 weeks for most people. I live right next to the port in Oakland where it arrived from customs and it took 18 days. So if you live in the East Coast, I imagine probably 3-3.5 weeks.

I'm pretty sure DSD64 is the SACD format standard. Those other file formats are probably from digital recorders used to convert high res audio from DVD-Audio and other non native DSD sources and sold to you from "Hi Res" online distributers. But the actual retail music in SACD form is DSD64.

Just got my AM3. Seems like it's noticeably louder than the AM5 in balanced mode with the HD800S. Impressive.

Depends on your size limitations. I would look at the Kef Muo if you need something small or a used Harman Kardon Go Plus if you don't mind buying used on ebay.
