Recommendations on headphones for outside work and exercise

I checked out that thread, but it seems to focus on portable headphones rather than those suited to exercise. I didn't see any around-the-neck/neckband headphones in that compilation--most of them look like they'd easily fall off.

Recommendations on headphones for outside work and exercise

I recently made this post in that "recommendations aggregation thread" (since closed) and ended up buying some recommended DUNU DN-19 Tai Chi IEMs.  Unfortunately these didn't work out for me.  Despite having "ear hooks," using the clip, etc etc, the ear buds just dislodge from my ears when the...

Wind disruption, is there a solution?

I put the dampers in and went for a short jog, but they really didn't do anything to reduce the wind's disruption.  I've read around and some people are recommending Etymotic (and many are big on foam).  Can anyone corroborate this?  For instance, maybe these...

Wind disruption, is there a solution?

I'll try the dampers this afternoon, but in front of my fan they didn't see to do much.  Will post back later.

Wind disruption, is there a solution?

Is there a solution to the disruption caused by wind?  Right now I'm using some IEMs (DUNU DN-19 Tai Chi) and even with the largest ear-inserts lodged into my ears the disruption is actually worse than the around-the-neck headphones I was using prior to them (they broke).  I like to listen to...

Buying portable or in-ear headphones? Seeking guidance? DON'T START A NEW THREAD. Ask for advice HERE!

Quote:   You and another user have convinced me to try an IEM, but I can't really say what music characteristics I would prefer because I don't have the vocabulary.  If they can be approximated from music genres, then I would say that I typically listen to house music, disco and funk.  I...

Buying portable or in-ear headphones? Seeking guidance? DON'T START A NEW THREAD. Ask for advice HERE!

The cord on my old sennheiser PMX 200s broke and my attempt at repair resulted in unbearable sound quality.  This is what I'm ideally looking for in new headphones:   - Ideal for exercise and outside work.  The less I have to worry about them, the better. - Behind-the-neck design.  I'm...

    Assessing a used SL1200 MK2

I have received a used Technics SL1200 MK2. It lacks the dustcover, cartridge, headshell, and rubber mat, but I have since ordered these items. The turntable is definitely showing signs of wear, and I suspect some things need to be replaced. Therefore, I would like to utilize the experience...

Separate wireless (bluetooth) adapter for wired headphones?

Sorry for not updating this thread earlier. I ended up buying the Xterasys transmitter/receiver. It's not a bad device, but it degrades the sound quality--especially the bass (Though, I must admit I am a 320kbps addict). On the other hand, I have not tried any bluetooth headphones (so I can't...

    Cartridge/Stylus for Technics MK2

Hello, I just purchased a used Technics SL1200 MK2 for $200. A cartridge and stylus did not accompany this purchase--and this is the concern of this thread. Can anyone recommend a good cartridge/stylus for the MK2? I'm hoping not to spend too much on this purchase, as I also plan on buying...

Separate wireless (bluetooth) adapter for wired headphones?

I found this. It includes both the receiver and transmitter for $50, but I'm not sure if it's suitable for my purposes (exercising, situations with lots of movement). It may be exclusively for home theater usage. Xterasys Bluetooth Stereo Audio Transmitter & Receiver Retail (Xterasys XB202) ...

Separate wireless (bluetooth) adapter for wired headphones?

Thanks so much. I found the transmitter for $22 on ebay, but I'm still looking for a cheaper seller for the receiver. EDIT: Just noticed that the transmitter actually takes batteries. I'll have to find a different solution for this, since I really don't want to deal with batteries.

Separate wireless (bluetooth) adapter for wired headphones?

A few months back, I was looking for wireless headphones with the following requirements: decently priced, decent sounding, behind-the-neck, and closed. I could not find a decent wireless pair with those specifications, and I had read the wireless (bluetooth) headphones have notably worse sound...
