Neil Peart was using them when I saw Rush live. If they are good enough for Neil Peart, they are good enough for me! 

I am looking for some IEM's that are not dependent of the fit to sound good. I bought some Meleec M6's for sleeping but found they way to fit dependent and I was constantly fiddling with them to make the sound good. I'm looking to spend around $40 and I like deep, impactful bass with neutral mids. 

Now I'm really glad that I decided to order M6's from amazon instead of getting some brainwavs. I didn't know there shipping was so terrible.

Which would be more comfortable for sleeping? And they sound pretty much the same, right? At the low volumes I will be using them for I doubt it would matter much anyways.

weird...maybe I just have big ears or something? I've had them for a couple of months so I'd think the headband would be stretched out by now.

My ears get a little tender after an hour or two of wearing my M50's. Does anyone else have this problem? I'm wondering if it's because I'm wearing them wrong or if the pads are just getting old.

Just bought some cheap Altec Lansings. They get the job done IMO. Much much better than the stock iMac speakers.

How are the HK Soundsticks II? They are about $100, and that's about as far as I'm willing to go.

2:1 is an option I guess. I figured that I'd get better satellites for the same price as getting satellites + a sub. There really aren't any speakers under $50 that can produce enough bass to at least hear?

I would not consider my M50 a bass monster. There are much bassier headphones to be had. However, I find the bass to be the perfect level for me.

The M50's aren't big at all. They are actually pretty stylish and definitely not "weird" looking. As long as you won't be walking around with them, there would be no problem wearing them in public.
