Sorry if I'm in the wrong thread but I'm very curious what that polarity switch does on this pair of headphones, does it change the sound signature in any way? I'm not quite sure what it means but it's so unique

I have no experiences with blackberry whatsoever but I'm guessing it's a hardware limitation on the blackberry. The impedance of these earphones seem to be very low so maybe your phone isn't providing enough current

perfect as in a flat frequency response? you should also worry about your sources and amps. The sound signature becomes warmer as the output impedance of your source decreases. To me, an output with an impedance of 3-4 sounds sounds pretty much perfect but as i switch over to my ipad2 (1.03...

not sure about 33 ohms, I have tried a 75 ohm resistor before and it pushed the high end dramatically. It was too much and the sound became really peaky and un-listenable.

Could anyone recommend an amp that pairs well with the 1840? Does it scale well with higher end gear?   So far I am not hearing a difference switching between my phone unamped and portable amps
