Sony NWZ-ZX1 - 35th Walkman Anniversary model
You're talking about ClearAudio+ feature. Could someone post frequency response for ZX1 with EQ off and with CA+ turned on? I've heard it only on my father's Xperia Z and in my opinion SA+ ruined almost whole SQ. Every note, point and step of music was a totally off the place. So basically I'm...- Aelavin

Sony XBA-H1 and XBA-H3 Hybrid Dynamic and BA IEM
I must say, that I'm enjoying my H3 more than XBA-3. Most pros from my XBA-3 are here in H3, and most cons from XBA-3 are repaired (quite weak bass response and less annoying cymbals). And what's more important - they are less picky about the source (but it's still really important). 40 Ohms...- Aelavin

Sony XBA-H1 and XBA-H3 Hybrid Dynamic and BA IEM
H3's earphones are made in Thailand, but it looks like cable is made in China (on cable's split there is a "China" note).- Aelavin

Sony XBA-H1 and XBA-H3 Hybrid Dynamic and BA IEM
By writing "overwhelmed" I meant, that bass could have such strong presense, that you could miss some details in mids frequency (highs are safe), but sound isn't muddy or flat at all. I would say it's still better than most earphones I've heard ;)- Aelavin

Sony XBA-H1 and XBA-H3 Hybrid Dynamic and BA IEM
Ok, I've spend some hours with XBA-H3. So far I used them with my NWZ-X1050 and a bit with Xperia Z. I also compared them with my XBA-3. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - NWZ-X1050 (EQ set to flat, except ClearBass which was set on 3 (around +10dB peak in...- Aelavin

Sony XBA-H1 and XBA-H3 Hybrid Dynamic and BA IEM
Tommorow I'll get my XBA-H3 and maybe in like 2-3 days I could write first impressions about it. What I've currently got: - XBA-3 - MDR-EX700 - MDR-1R - NWZ-X1050 - Xperia Z - SE W995 - FiiO E11 - PC with Sound Blaster Titanium - notebook (VAIO VPCSB) If you want to check...- Aelavin

Sony NWZ-ZX1 - 35th Walkman Anniversary model
http://www.sony.jp/walkman/products/NW-Z1000_series/spec.html According to this specification it looks like it has maximum power output 5+5 mW. It wasn't hard to find it :P In my opinion 15+15 mW would be quite enough for most IEMs/CIEMs. My NWZ-X1050 (5+5 mW) has enough power (I don't go...- Aelavin

The upcoming Sony Xperia i1 - the high-end audiophile's phone?
Currently it's called Sony Xperia Z1 and it doesn't have any special "audio chip" from Sony. Just the standard one. The rest of specification is quite right: 20 MP camera (G-Lens from Sony), water- and dustproof construction, frame made of metal alloy, front and back made of glass (cover by...- Aelavin

sony xba-3........................advice please
Then I think XBA-3 will have quite good balance, with good bass response, because that's the most difficult part to get from these earphones. XBA-3 has impedance between 8-90 Ohms, so I hope your Sansa could handle such distributed, across frequencies, impedance. And about the price. For...- Aelavin

sony xba-3........................advice please
Well, that's true. Currently Sony devices sold in EU have high output impedance (usually more than 10 Ohms), so your Xperia probably won't perform well with XBA-3 unless you don't like bass. I don't know how Sansa Clip+ sound, but if my memory serves me it hase quite low output impedance so...- Aelavin

NEW Sony Walkman Z Series mini review!!!
Quote: Volume for me was also ok. But if it's because of output impedance that my XBA-3 had no bass, then it means EU Z is useless with BA-based earphones (XBA-3's output impedance varies from 8 to more than 80 Ohms if my memory serves me) I've got FiiO E11 even via jack-jack...- Aelavin

NEW Sony Walkman Z Series mini review!!!
Quote: I've tried (not for so long) EU Walkman Z with XBA-3 and... I was so disappointed. Completely lack of bass. ClearBass set on +10 and still no difference in bass (lack). Clarity of the rest spectrum was ok and quite pleasant. Volume was also ok for me. Currently I've got my...- Aelavin

Sony NWZ-F806 mini review (& F-series player reviews / impressions / discussion)
Quote: Some people said that EU version has got around 27 Ohms output impedance and I think that's true because when I tried Z-series in local store the sound was lacking in bass (I've got XBA-3 and they are really sensitive to output impedance). So yeah, it's not only the matter of...- Aelavin
