Puritan Audio Laboratories PSM136, PSM156, PSM1512 Power Conditioners
I’ve had a Puritan PSM136 for a couple of years now and only have good things to say about it. The general sense of calmness and increased soundstage and separation are significant.- adeypoos

Headphone output quality AURALiC Altair G2.1 v Naim Uniti Atom HE
Hi folks, been away for a while. I’ve been trying to find out some more about the headphone output on an AURALiC Altair G2.1 and its relative performance quality with a Naim Uniti Atom HE. I suspect the streamer quality on the AURALiC is superior but its headphone output will be not so good...- adeypoos

Review by 'adeypoos' on item 'Meze Audio 99 Classics'
My route to headphone bliss! My story wouldn't have started at all if it wasn't for the crappy headband quality of my previous pair of headphones, the Focal Spirit Professional. After a 2nd pair cracked-up on me, believe me when I say I wasn't! Pity, because the sound was all I wanted in a...- adeypoos

Meze 99 Classics Discussion + Impressions Thread
Finally dug out my Firestone Fubar IV DAC/Headphone amp. Noticeably more controlled in the bass, with a more neutral and detailed presentation. More spacious across the frequency range and especially as the treble seems to be more airy, with more shimmer to cymbals. Seems less congested than...- adeypoos

Meze 99 Classics Discussion + Impressions Thread
So here we are just over a week in. I reckon I'm just past the 40 hour burn in point and I can speak more clearly about my impressions of the 99C's. The bass seems to be getting better as time goes on. Listening to "Forgotten places" by Alif Tree there is a pronounced double bass line which...- adeypoos

Focal Listen Impressions and Review
I'm not sure I could trust Focal headbands ever again after the Spirit Pros cracked on me twice. Looking at these I'm not convinced.- adeypoos

What a marvellous review George. I am enjoying the 99C's more and more as they burn in optimally and you have summed up my thoughts beautifully. I thought my Focal Spirit Pros were great, but these are a much sweeter and euphonic option, plus the headband won't crack like the plastic ones they...- adeypoos

Day 4 - things have settled down across the frequency range now. Far less of the errant bass and treble of day 1, but the lovely, musical warmth the 99C's exhibit still shines through like a beacon. Been listening to some more rock today and another thing has struck me about the sound, the...- adeypoos

Meze 99 Classics Discussion + Impressions Thread
On the third day with my new Meze 99 Classics in Walnut/silver. Soundwise, the changes are more subtle now. I think the bass is a bit more solid but it still has a luscious warmth to it, which I am liking for the most part. My Focal Spirit Pros were more controlled throughout the bass region...- adeypoos

I still have an original pair of SR 80's from the early 1990's. Don't listen to them that much any more but I remember the sound signature well. I found them dynamic but often glassy and aggressive at the top end and they leak sound like a broken pipe. I have replaced the pads once, lost the...- adeypoos

So, one day on, I'm already hearing some significant changes in the sound. Bass has become a bit less bloaty and the treble less wispy. Overall they sound like the audio spectrum is much more cohesive. I guess I'm about 10 hours into the burn-in and I feel there will be some more subtle...- adeypoos
