Been using this lately.  

My ZO2 arrived today and I am happy to report that I hear no pop on power on/off and no hiss (max volume, disconnected from source, with UM Miracle). I haven't listened to it long enough to really get some impression of the sound but it has been fun playing around with.

I rockboxed my hm-601 about 2 weeks now and haven't run into any problems yet. The biggest change for me (also the reason why I took it down from the classifieds) is that it properly orders the tracks and browsing is much easier now. I used to browse by sd card because the browse by album/artist...

Ordered one today. I thought my portable rig was finished but there's always room for trying new things. Looking forward to impressions (seeing as how some have shipped already) before I get mine.

I have not tried the hm-801 but the hm-601 is a great match with the Miracles. It's what make vocals go from good to amazing. Regarding hiss, I found that the more charged the battery is the less hiss there will be. At it's worst, it's not enough to distract from listening. The 801 is supposed...

Great write-up so far! That Fostex HP-P1 looks really interesting, and I like how it can be used as a digital transport without the need for an extra amp. Looking forward to more comparisons, especially of the customs vs lcd-2.

The um3x sits pretty flush against the ear but I still would not recommend sleeping with them. I tried sleeping on my side and there was a bit of pressure so for the safety of the IEM as well as my ears, I don't fall asleep with them on. Then again, with the senns you definitely won't be able to...
