ZO2 Impression Thread
My ZO2 arrived today and I am happy to report that I hear no pop on power on/off and no hiss (max volume, disconnected from source, with UM Miracle). I haven't listened to it long enough to really get some impression of the sound but it has been fun playing around with.- 7swell

How To: Installing and Uninstalling Rockbox to the HiFiMAN HM-801, 603, 602 and 601.
I rockboxed my hm-601 about 2 weeks now and haven't run into any problems yet. The biggest change for me (also the reason why I took it down from the classifieds) is that it properly orders the tracks and browsing is much easier now. I used to browse by sd card because the browse by album/artist...- 7swell

The ZO2 Has Landed.
Ordered one today. I thought my portable rig was finished but there's always room for trying new things. Looking forward to impressions (seeing as how some have shipped already) before I get mine.- 7swell

RockBox For HiFiman HM601 and for HM801
Quote: I haven't tested from a full charge so I don't know if the battery life is any better. The sound is the same, except now you have a usable EQ and other nice features that rockbox adds. I still don't use any EQ but the interface and navigation is of course miles ahead of the hifiman...- 7swell

DAP for UM Miracles ?
I have not tried the hm-801 but the hm-601 is a great match with the Miracles. It's what make vocals go from good to amazing. Regarding hiss, I found that the more charged the battery is the less hiss there will be. At it's worst, it's not enough to distract from listening. The 801 is supposed...- 7swell

The diary entries of a little girl! ~ | ~ Latest memoir: oıpnɐ ןɐuıɟ
Great write-up so far! That Fostex HP-P1 looks really interesting, and I like how it can be used as a digital transport without the need for an extra amp. Looking forward to more comparisons, especially of the customs vs lcd-2.- 7swell

My Thoughts Of the New Sony Walkman A865
Quote: Yes they do look very similar. Before buying an s639, I saw both the E and S models at best buy and there were slight differences. Basically the form factor and layout were exactly the same, but the E436 had more plastic and was a fingerprint magnet. From pictures online you pretty...- 7swell

Unique Melody Miracle Review & Impressions Thread
Quote: I've been using mine for about 6-7 months now and didn't notice much if any burn-in effect. You could be hearing more sparkle just by listening to more tracks and getting used to it. Also, congrats on your purchase. The titanium faceplate looks cool.- 7swell

Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)
Great review as usual and glad to see that you are enjoying your Miracles. They also bring a smile to my face every day. Female vocals just sound heavenly with them.- 7swell

Considering UM3X
I didn't have the RC version but if the non-RC version is similar, then you should expect great durability, fit, and comfort. The cable is of good quality and I feel that they didn't need to change anything about it. Also, the um3x definitely is no slouch when it comes to details. The highs are...- 7swell

UM3X vs. SM3 v2: Advice Appreciated!
The um3x sits pretty flush against the ear but I still would not recommend sleeping with them. I tried sleeping on my side and there was a bit of pressure so for the safety of the IEM as well as my ears, I don't fall asleep with them on. Then again, with the senns you definitely won't be able to...- 7swell
