Sony’s WF 1000XM4 headphones feature intuitive touch control settings – for example, tap on the left earbud to change from Noise Cancelling to Ambient Sound, or double tap on the right to skip to the next track. If you want to customise your touch controls, no problem. The Sony Headphones Connect app lets you assign alternative options, such as Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa and music volume control, to each earbud. These touch controls also allow you to instantly chat with someone without taking your headphones off, by placing your finger over the right earbud to turn the volume right down and let in ambient sound. Better yet, as soon as you speak to someone, Speak-to-Chat automatically pauses the music and lets in ambient sound so you can conduct a conversation. Once your chat is over, your music starts playing again automatically.
