What's the reason for the sale after such a short time?

What's the reason for the sale after such a short time?
The short answer is time and money.

The long answer is, given the extremely limited time I have to enjoy this hobby, leaving 20k sitting in my rack without the time to enjoy it makes zero sense. It was the same problem I had choosing between the SR1a's and the Abyss TCs. Both are great, but I have precious little time to enjoy my system and need to optimise my enjoyment as much as I possibly can. That means I can't have multiple amps, headphones, etc. sitting around that will realistically never get used. If I had the time to spend on my rig, I would absolutely keep the WA33. Ultimately, I had to make a difficult choice and make no mistake....this wasn't an easy one. I will miss the WA33 very much and feel quite fortunate to have owned and listened to one, for however short a time.

For those interested, having kids really does kill your hobbies, more specifically the time you have to devote to them. I obviously won't stop loving audio, but I love my kids more and only have so much time for both. Something had to give...

I was gonna ask too.
I was never impressed enough, for a lot of reasons, with the base edition, to want to try the maxed out version, but I will always wonder how it sounds. Maybe I can find a forum member in California to let me.
I do like my CFA3 though :)
Good luck with sale! Very rare opportunity.

Thanks and I couldn't agree more. I tried the base edition and it was pretty good, but not great. The maxed version isn't great...it's phenomenal. It is the clearest, most resolving, and most gorgeous sounding tube amp I've ever heard. A lot of folks say it sounds very "solid state" and I would agree to a point. But it has this amazingly sweet, elegant, effortless, and beautiful sound all it's own. That is the reason you buy the WA33 EE JPS. I've never heard anything quite like it. Really special, intoxicating, and addictive sound.

Small world! I just picked up a CFA3 as well :xf_cool: Phenomenal amp, especially for the price. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of using the WA33 as a preamp for the CFA3 and it sent my jaw straight to the floor. I am now questioning whether or not I want to sell the WA33 in the first place. It was that good. The combo adds this phenomenal bass response (especially mid bass), incredible dynamics, and a touch of accuracy to everything. The end result is an even more addictive sound than the WA33 by itself. It's flat out nuts. Easily the best, most accurate, complete, and glorious sound I've ever heard come out of the Abyss TCs.

Anyway, that's why I keep going back and forth on selling this thing...lol. I just can't unhear what I heard from that combo.

Hit me up if you are ever in the Denver, CO area. I'd be glad to let you have a listen (provided I've stopped indecisively flip-flopping and ultimately decided not to sell this thing).
