For sale are the legendary Stax Lambda NBs. They are in very good condition except one of the grills is missing a plastic rib (see picture). These come with the Stax cover. When I bought them they didn't have the foam or damping material in the housing. As far as I can tell, the general consensus is that the foam doesn't do anything and the damping material makes them sound more balanced, so I contacted Stax and got some imported from Japan. (FWIW I prefer them with the damping material than without).
I'm looking for $360 USD shipped and PayPal'd. US sales only for now.
If you need amplification for these I have a refurbished and re-capped Stax SRM-1 Mk2 from Mjolnir Audio (aka spritzer) that I'm willing to sell. It has a very minor hum in one of the channels that is slightly audible when no music is playing (I can't hear it when music is playing). I'm looking for $810 USD for the combo of headphones + amplifier.
I will package these in several layers of anti-static bags to avoid dust contamination.
