MAJOR drop on price due to inactivity. This is now a solid basement-price bargain for those who know what they're getting. Head-Fi price only for a few weeks, will update my other ads (eBay, Fb) after a while.

Due to a sale gone bad, this amplifier ended up at the SPL laboratories where it got a brand new potentiometer. The unit was then thoroughly checked and tested for further inconsistencies, of which there were none. As evidence SPL provided me with an 8 page-long technical report which is available upon request (see pics; print-out included with sale). Since I have an SPL Phonitor X, sadly this refurbished gem of a unit is sitting unused.

S/N is 11.2911.00369, feel free to check with SPL for further details and clarifications.

Unit is in mint condition, some shades that show on the pics are due to fingerprints (apologies for not noticing earlier). Further pics are available upon request, but for now the unit is safely packaged in its original box so I won't bother unless there's genuine interest.

Original packaging available, accepting PayPal, Revolut, bank transfer. Shipping fee varies according to destination. Import fees, PayPal fees etc. are covered by the buyer. Shipping from Athens, Greece, so EU buyers don't have to worry about import issues.

No trades.

This is a private sale so no returns are accepted other than PayPal buyers' protection policy.

Having owned one, I have to say that 1) This is an excellent, well-built amp from a very reputable company, and 2) At this price you’d get an amp that has the amp components of the Phonitor for a very reasonable price. I really enjoyed my Auditor, and highly recommend it. GLWS!

Thanks for the comment, I appreciate it, pity that very few people know about this amp... For me, it was a true revelation when I first got it and in fact it was a remarkable match to the Sennheiser HD800. More on the mellower side compared to my Phonitor X but still with great analytical capabilitiy, this one is a true sleeper!

Full disclosure though for potential buyers, not really best suited for low impedance HPs, especially planar.

Now selling at €360, refurbishment alone cost me over €120 along with shipping! Won't go any lower than this. Seriously, nothing touches this amp at that price, and it comes basically straight off SPL's labs!

So it will not be able to drive a HE6SE according to you right ?

SPL would say it would, but IMHO with an efficiency of 83.5 dB I'd say you're probably looking for a Schiit Mjolnir. If you're on a tight budget, 1st gen should get you great bang/powerrr for your buck!
