Hi, I'm selling a pair of Sony PFR-V1 in their original box.

They're one of Sony's weird and mad audio experiments : two tiny speakers suspended in the air next to your ears.

Do they sound good ? Hell no.
Are they comfortable ? Absolutely not.
Are they nonetheless utterly fascinating ? Hell yes.
Who are they for ? I suppose mainly collectors, as a warning from History. Or perhaps people who want to experiment with this specific type of headphones (no coupling with the head).

I purchased them used and they're in the condition they were purchased back then. To sum it up :
- the metal and plastic parts are in pretty good shape. Functionally fine.
- the fabric lining the headband is functional but shows some traces of use.
- the speakers' dome and suspension are in decent shape (no dents), some traces of dirt around the surround.
- the case's internal lining is in good shape.
- the case's external pleather is in very poor shape and flaking.
