How is the shell on these? Any issues with it cracking? Did you use the stock tips?

I am inclined to agree with you that it's fragile reputation results from poor handling. Plastic can be strong when treated properly, but when mistreated (yanking on the cable, applying extreme amounts of pressure, etc) it could break. It is much easier to blame the design than yourself in that case.

Which of the stock tips were used, if any? Need to know if I need new tips lol
